“First you have to carve legs and railing. Later, work on lions, Gdańsk coat of arms and the original filling of the cartouche will begin. Everything must be just perfect so a dignified visitor could sit on a comfortable chair.” In the workshop in Dąbrówka near Tczew craftsman and artist Zbigniew Żurawski has been working for Andrzej Wajda for several weeks. This beautiful furniture will be handed over to the great director in March 2017 during the ceremony of granting him the title of Honorary Citizen of Gdansk.
